Fulham made it tough for Tottenham Hotspur to reach the top four in the Premier League. Rodrigo Muniz, who’s been playing well, scored twice to lead Fulham to an impressive 3-0 win at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

Fulham dealt a significant blow to Tottenham Hotspur’s hopes of finishing in the top four of the Premier League. Rodrigo Muniz, who has been in good form, scored two goals in their impressive 3-0 win at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

Tottenham had the chance to move up to fourth place but didn’t play well except for a short period before halftime. Muniz scored the first goal in the 42nd minute and then again after an hour, sealing Fulham’s victory after Sasa Lukic had scored earlier.

This win was extra special for Fulham, as they had also beaten Tottenham in the League Cup earlier.

Tottenham has 53 points from 28 games and is currently in fifth place, while Fulham is in 12th place with 38 points from 29 games.

Last week, Tottenham had a big 4-0 win against Villa, which gave them some momentum in their push to qualify for the Champions League. However, they had a disappointing performance this week, which brought them back to reality. Tottenham’s fans had hoped that such losses were a thing of the past since Ange Postecoglou became the coach.

Postecoglou said, “In the second half, we struggled to control the game. The energy went down, and our performance in the attacking third wasn’t good. Overall, our play was disappointing.

Throughout the year, we’ve focused on playing with high intensity and speed, but we didn’t see that in the second half. We couldn’t gain control or momentum in the game.”

The first half had many chances, but the surprising part was that no one scored until the 42nd minute.

Tottenham got lucky a minute later when Joao Palhinha’s shot was deflected in by substitute Raul Jimenez, but it was ruled offside.

Richarlison and Timo Werner, who came in as substitutes, had a few late opportunities for Tottenham. Unfortunately, their streak of scoring in 38 consecutive league games came to an end, which was disappointing.

For Fulham, it was another happy day playing at home by the river Thames. They secured their ninth home win of the season.
